Sanitary check valve is a key valve device, mainly used in food, pharmaceutical, beverage and other fields to ensure one-way flow of fluid in the pipeline system and prevent backflow and cross-contamination. Its operating principle is based on a simple yet effective mechanism that guarantees fluid control and system hygiene. Basic working principle:

The main function of the sanitary check valve is to allow the free flow of fluid or gas in one direction, while automatically blocking the flow in the other direction. This unidirectional flow is achieved through special design and components inside the valve. The working principle can be divided into two situations: open state and closed state.

On state:

When fluid enters from the inlet side of the valve, the pressure of the fluid will lift up the disc or disc inside the valve. The disc or disc is pushed in the opening direction of the valve, allowing fluid to pass freely and enter the outlet side smoothly.

Disabled:

When the fluid attempts to flow backward from the outlet side back to the inlet side, the pressure of the reverse flow will in turn push the valve disc or disc, sealing it against the valve seat. This mechanism effectively blocks reverse flow, ensuring that fluid cannot pass through the valve in the opposite direction.

The design of sanitary check valves usually takes into account the fluid dynamics and pressure changes within the valve.

Here are some common sanitary check valve designs:

Ball design: Some sanitary check valves use a ball disc. When fluid flows in from the inlet side, the ball disc will be pressed up to allow the fluid to pass. But when the fluid attempts to flow backward, the spherical valve disc will be pressed against the valve seat, preventing reverse flow.

Vibrating Wing Design: Another design uses a fluttering flap. When fluid enters from the inlet side, the flaps open and the fluid passes through. In case of reverse flow, the flaps will be closed to prevent reverse flow.
