Introduce:
The top-entry ball valve can be disassembled easily and quickly on the pipeline, and the maintenance is convenient and quick. When the valve fails on the pipeline and needs to be repaired, it is not necessary to disassemble the valve from the pipeline. You only need to remove the bolts and nuts of the middle flange, remove the valve cover and valve stem assembly from the valve body, and then take out the ball and valve seat assembly. The ball and valve seat can be repaired online. This maintenance saves time and minimizes the loss in production.
Classification：
Top-mounted ball valves are divided into floating ball valves and fixed ball valves.
The nominal size of top-mounted floating ball valves is ≤ DN200. A compression spring is applied to the ball. The function of the compression spring is to apply a preload force on the ball so that the valve seat sealing surface is in close contact under any circumstances, and the sealing performance is good. The wedge angle between the contact surface of the valve seat and the valve body is 10°, and the valve seat can be self-locking. In the direction of the pipeline, when the valve seat is subjected to a large pressure, the valve seat will not produce any displacement. Therefore, the valve of this structure has both the characteristics of a gate valve and the advantages of a ball valve. During the maintenance inspection, it was found that the valve body and the valve seat are prone to leakage. If the preload force of the spring is increased, the closing torque of the ball valve will inevitably increase. In order not to increase the closing torque of the ball valve, a rubber O-ring is added to the back of the valve seat sealing surface to solve the problem of leakage on the back of the valve seat sealing surface.
The disadvantage of the top-mounted fixed ball valve is that the spring preload force cannot be adjusted and controlled, and the spring compression amount is large during assembly, which makes assembly difficult. In order to solve this problem, ANSI 302 is used instead of 304 as the spring material. ANSI 302 has good spring stiffness and its corrosion resistance is similar to that of 304. In addition, a spring seat and an adjusting nut are added, threads are turned on the outer circle of the valve seat and the spring seat respectively, the spring is pressed into the spring seat with the adjusting nut, and the valve seat assembly is installed into the valve body. Since the spring has been compressed before the ball is installed, it is very convenient to install the ball. After the ball is assembled, the adjusting nut is withdrawn from the spring seat, and the preload force of the spring on the ball is small. If you want to increase the preload force, you can use the adjusting nut to adjust it.
